Singer/songwriter Julieta Venegas began getting involved in music while taking piano classes at the age of eight, having her first collective experience when she joined a group called Chantaje. In 1992, the artist composed the music for a play called Sirenas de Corazón. Soon she moved to Mexico City, and met major numbers in the local rock scene. In 1995, Julieta Venegas formed a band called Lula and later a project named La Milagrosa, playing along with Fratta and Rafael González. After signing up to BMG, the singer moved to Los Angeles, where Gustavo Santaolalla produced her debut album called Aqui, released in 1997. That same year, the musician played the accordion on Los Enanitos Verdes's Tracción Acústica. Julieta Venegas's "Como Sé" allowed the artist to get a MTV Latino award for Best Female Performance.
