Sexualized and risqué just as her name suggests, Florida clubrapper Riskay discovered her audience on the Internet and blogosphere with her 2007 underground hit, "Smell Yo Dick." A native of Bartow, a small city in central Florida between Tampa and Orlando, Riskay entered the rap industry under the tutelage of producer/songwriter Bigg Baby (Trina) near the end of the ‘90s, though she initially had no interest in rapping or recording music herself. She, of course, changed her mind and jumped on the remix for Florida rapper/producer White Dawg's "Pop a Pill" in 2002. The cut was played heavily in clubs and on radio in Florida, and soon, DJs requested more remixes from the dirty rap belle, including the song "Pay Up," a response to the YoungBloodZ's "Damn" Her own first recording was the arousing "My Candy," which was produced by Bigg Baby and released in 2005. The song was a hit with the usual club and radio outlets, but it also enjoyed some onair rotation sporadically throughout the South and Midwest. In 2007, Riskay's "Smell Yo Dick" single (cleaned up for radio as "Who You Creeping With") gave her national exposure, including a writeup in the New York Times for the song's breakout.
